The first time this subject occurred to me was March 2013. I posted this a some later date.

An archetype is a recurrent symbol or motif in literature, commonly referred to as a type.

Our Creator loves types, and He uses them all the time in His Word. The types mentioned below are ones I’ve identified during my own study. Be cautious, be a Berean, and search the Scriptures daily.

Many Christians sense that the time of the rapture, Day of the Lord and the catching away or rapture is very close. I believe the Bible teaches that we cannot know the day or hour. However, we can know the approximate “season” or time-frame of this major event. Hebrews 10:25 tells us to gather together more frequently when we see the day approaching. What day? This Day! Yes, we can know when that day is near. It is almost here now!

Graphics of the 7,000 years of man representing the creation week were familiar to me and caused me to consider the topic more carefully. Men have studied the genealogies of the Old Testament and determined that God created everything approximately 6,000 years ago. Each one thousand year period is called a millennium.

A few years ago I identified four types in Genesis chapter one that I want to share with you. These types compare the fifth, sixth and seventh days of creation to the fifth, sixth and seventh millenniums. It is important that you understand that type one and two represent the 2,000 year period that started when Jesus began His ministry and is now coming to a close.

Consider getting the movie End of the Harvest by Christiano Film Group. I watched this movie for the first time on 3/21/2020. It also shows how there may be a correlation between the seven days of creation and the seven thousand years of man.

8/9/2020 – Let me be clear on one thing. I am NOT setting dates. I believe we can know the approximate time that the catching away of God’s people might occur. *Consider the things that have happened so far this year, and what Christ said would happen prior to His coming. It would not surprise me to see an increase in the number and frequency of natural and man-made disasters in August and September. Sukkot is celebrated in October. This Feast of In-gathering might be significant.

Type One

Genesis 1:20 – God began creating life on the fifth day.

• This is a type of the fifth millennium. Christ began his ministry and created His church 2,000 years ago. Jesus Christ said He was The Way, The Truth, and The Life. His church was an extension of Himself. I think the day Jesus started His ministry identifies the beginning of the life typified by God creating life on the fifth day. See John chapters 6 and 14, and other verses throughout John, II Corinthians 4:11 and I John 1:1, 2.

Type Two

Genesis 1:24-31 – God finished creating life on the sixth day.

• This is a type of the sixth millennium. When day six ended, all life had been created. All living things that were to be created had been created. Likewise, at the end of the sixth millennium all men and women that were to be re-created, i.e., re-born, new birth, created Christian, are Christian.
• Bonus type – The end of day six is a type of the close of the Age of Grace and the close of the church’s ministry.

Type Three

Genesis 1:22 and 28 – The command given to life on the fifth and sixth day was be fruitful and multiply.

• This command is a type of the command given to the church and believers. Mar 16:15  “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” This was a command to tell others about Christ and bring about new Christians. In other words, be fruitful and multiply, or go out and reproduce yourself. John 15:16

Type Four

Genesis 2:1-3 – God rested on the seventh day.

• This is a type of the seventh millennium. Following the Great Tribulation, Jesus returns to earth. He sets up His earthly kingdom and rules for a thousand years. During this time creation is renewed, earth will be at peace, and the devil is imprisoned. All of creation will be at rest during this time. Revelation 20:3, 4

My main point is this. We are at the end of the sixth millennium! If the beginning of Jesus’s ministry marks the beginning of the fifth millennium and it has been two thousand years since, then the seventh millennium is all that remains.

Considering this, what are your priorities in life? I’ve rearranged mine, come join me. There isn’t much time left to do the important things that will outlast this temporary existence.
